What is summer without a Weissach Drive Day?
This year, we decided to try something new and venture out to Harrison Mills, a small community West of Agassiz. The destination was the River’s Edge Restaurant on the grounds of Pretty Estates Resort which is also home to the Sandpiper Golf Course.
Despite the overcast weather, a dedicated group of enthusiasts decided to make the trek out to the valley for brunch with us. A small group met our staff at Weissach to convoy out to Langley together where we met up with the rest of the group. Everyone in the Langley IGA parking lot was quite surprised to see so many gorgeous cars all in one place. While everyone had a chance to go to the bathroom and get a coffee, over 10,000 HP worth of vehicles were displayed in the parking lot. We had a quick driver’s meeting, hit record on the GoPros and fired up the engines. We were off.
We headed away from Langley and had the chance to drive some wonderful back roads through Langley, Abbotsford, Chilliwack and Agassiz. Unfortunately, the weather did catch up to us eventually and we had a small bout of rain. However, the rain did disappear just in time for us to arrive for brunch.
The gates were open and the staff at the River’s Edge Restaurant allowed us to display our cars on the lawn in front of their patio. This made for a picturesque scene with the lake and mountains in the background. We headed inside where a scrumptious brunch buffet was waiting. Waffles, eggs, pasta, baked goods and other delicacies were all laid out for our crew. After loading up our plates, the hungry group walked onto the patio to take in the fresh mountain air while enjoying the spectacular view and conversation with friends.
After brunch, everyone had a chance to admire the car display and the golf course before leaving at their leisure. The staff from Weissach took a scenic route back through Mission and Langley before bringing the cars back to the showroom for a quick scrub up.
Overall, it was a wonderful day with some great people and great cars. We’re happy with the turnout and hope everyone had a great time. We look forward to hosting more of these events in the future.
