Weissach Performance is pleased to announce a special evening with veteran race car driver and advanced driving coach, Don Kitch Jr. (bio to follow). With the increased congestion on our roads, being properly prepared for the challenges of day-to-day commuting has become ever more important for the average driver. As sports car owners who enjoy driving for pure pleasure, we must focus on the responsibility we have to others we share the road with, as well as our families and ourselves.
With over 25 years of motorsport experience, Don Kitch Jr. of ProFormance Racing School has made it his mission to help sports car enthusiasts become safer, more responsible drivers on the street. By “taking it to the track”, the focus of ProFromance is to help you better understand your car’s handling characteristics and safety systems.
By learning to drive with greater precision and fluidity in a controlled environment such as a race track, drivers improve their reflexes, judgement and car control skills. Bringing this back to the street, drivers will react quicker and make better judgement calls in challenging situations while commuting.
To support this evening’s theme of driving safety, we’ve invited officers from the Vancouver Police Department’s Traffic Division to discuss the realities and consequences of distracted driving. Staying focused while at the wheel and being aware of what is going on in traffic around you are skills often overlooked when discussing accident prevention.
We hope that you can join us for an informative, fun, and relaxing social evening with our team and special guests. Carrying on with the safe driving theme, this will be a dry event with refreshments and Pizza from Viatevere Pizzeria.
